Retaining wall blocks must form part of a properly designed system that considers soil conditions, wall height, foundations, reinforcement and drainage. Australian Standard AS 4678 provides guidance for earth-retaining structure design. After extreme rainfall, check for blocked drains, water build-up, new cracks or wall movement.
