After nearly two decades in the corporate world, my life changed in an instant during my third pregnancy. At just 20 weeks, my unborn son was diagnosed with a life-threatening condition (hydrops fetalis), and I underwent emergency in-utero surgery. He was born prematurely and critically unwell, spending 7 weeks on life support, I waited three long weeks to hold him for the first time. We welcomed him home after 148 days in hospital in the NICU.
