p Welcome to my online gallery. 4Shared is a useful place to showcase music: I've been putting score samples and MP3 files for demos. Follow the link to RichardArnest, on the right hand side below the individual file list (or the My Cool Stuff link down and to the left .. they take you to the same place, go figure). You can listen to my music for Chamber Orchestra, Chamber Music, Music for Voices, etc. arranged in folders. The New Music folder has mostly realized demos of unperformed music, arranged by type. (I apologize for the ads on this page. I take no responsibility for them and find them tasteless and repellent. If 4Shared becomes a profit center for me I would certainly consider upgrading my account so the advertising stops. So commission something! (You may recognize this as the 'Public Radio' approach to fundraising) ************************************************************************** I spent years as a flutist, and write a lot for that instrument. ************************************************************************** Some cores of published music can be bought from my storefront at http://stores.lulu.com/MusicUnderConstruction This is another site with great potential that I am continuing to develop. Still, you are better off contacting me (or Flute World) if something catches your fancy. ************************************************************************** Contact me using the link at the bottom of the page. I respond promptly, write quickly, accept PayPal, get parts, customize keys .. and as you can hear on these pages, I write great stuff* What more could you want from a twenty-first century composer guy? ************************************************************************** Much of my music with flutes can be found at FluteWorld.com ************************************************************************** Thanks for stopping by -Rick ************************************************************************** *Did I say ringtones? I think not! /p

I've played recorder longer that I've been a composer. Sometimes I write new recorder music or arrange old music for consort. I do this professionally... My last performance was the Telemann 'Suite in a' with a community orchestra near Cincinnati.

A Chiu (Arr-P4CA)
"Riu riu chiu" (Cancionero de Uppsala, 41) is one of my favorite Christmas songs. I had a lot of fun arranging it for flutes .. I wasn't limited by the manuscript (though that's the harmonization I basically used). Listen and enjoy.
