I was born and raised in Costa Rica, and picked-up my musical influences living in the Caribbean region most of my life. I grew up with Soca, Calypso, and Reggae along with Salsa, Merengue, Cumbia, y Vallenato. br br I got to hear what the previous generations of DJs were playing, and fell in love with the cadence of the dance floor. I was lucky enough to spend a few years in Panama when the music scene was popping new things everyday! So I decided to start collecting the best music I heard out there. br br I also kept-up with the Jamaican and other Caribbean music I heard growing up. It's been over 15 years since I started collecting music, and I have settled into my beloved Afro-Caribbean music as my main area of interest. br br I love music that has beat, and that you can dance to. For dancing, I am most comfortable playing Reggae in English and Spanish, Soca, Latin music, Hip Hop, and other Dance beats. br br I still love to play other genres and to experiment with new things. I play slower tempo music on occasion, and can play as comfortably on a Latin/Salsa night, Roots Reggae and Dub Sessions, Dancehall All Day, or a variety of genres for that Afro-Caribbean feel. I have secret affairs with other genres that I like to mix, so you might find me doing electronica or house sets just for kicks. br br I play hot Latin music for different generations, all the classics of Merengue, Salsa, and Spanish Reggae. br br I am trying to promote music that I like to dance to. I like good lyrics, and music that brings back memories. I guarantee I can play a few songs you haven't heard in a while that would make you dance.
