4shared Quick Tour
As soon as you become a registered 4shared user, you gain access to your virtual drive where you are able to create an unlimited number of folders and subfolders, and upload files for storing and sharing.
- You are welcome to upload any files except illegal, pornographic, copyrighted materials, etc. listed in 4shared Terms of use.
The most popular types of files that may be shared are: documents, music, video files, images, zip files, etc.
- To create a new folder open the My4shared folder and click on the 'Create a new folder' button on the toolbar, then name the new folder and click on the 'OK' button to complete creating the folder. If you are going to create a subfolder, start your actions from opening the parent folder.
-
To upload files to a folder, browse them using the 'Upload files to current folder' field on the bottom of your virtual drive page.
4shared provides you with a special multi-upload feature that allows you to upload several files at once. The feature is especially useful to upload a file by separated volumes if the size of the file exceeds the space limit.
In addition, we offer you the opportunity to manipulate your files without accessing the 4shared internet page. You can do it with the help of a specially developed '4shared Desktop' tool, which can handle the routine process of uploading hundreds files to your account and make the whole process much easier.
- You can copy, paste and delete your files, or delete whole folders using a simple intuitive Windows-style interface on your virtual drive.
Tip. You can upload as many files as you wish, but they should fit your virtual drive space. For Free Plan users the space limit is 5 GB per account. Every single file can not be more than 100 MB.
